NCCPT adheres to the industry standard that all Certified Fitness Professionals complete a Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation course (CPR) prior to receiving their Certified Personal Trainer Certificate and each time it is renewed.
A valid CPR card is a non-expired card, bearing the name of the recipient that received the training. Only Adult CPR trainer certification is required for the purposes of obtaining your Personal Trainer Certification, however, employment at certain facilities may have other CPR requirements, such as Infant/Child CPR, First Aid, and/or AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) Training. Please check with the appropriate facility prior to completing a CPR certificate course to ensure that you meet any additional requirements.
NCCPT has partnered with ISSA to give NCCPT candidates easy access to CPR education. Go to https://www.issaonline.com/certification/cpr/ to purchase the course.
YOU MUST PRESENT A VALID, NON-EXPIRED CPR CARD AT THE TIME OF YOUR EXAM OR YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO TAKE THE CPT EXAM.
